Staff replied at this time our software doesn’t have the capability to separate the two figures, but it is part of the RFP for the new software. Gary Mancuso and Robert Van Pelt mentioned that Boulder does an audit after every project is completed. The Board feels the valuation should focus more on the life safety aspect of the job and inspections, instead of aspects of the job not inspected including flooring, cabinets and counter tops. Director Russ said this is something staff can look into and may have to be discussed with City Council. III. Plan Review Gary Mancuso asked if Ken Swanson holds regular office hours. Ken Swanson replied since he is contracted through Colorado Code Consultants, he has other jurisdictions he covers in addition to Louisville, he does not hold regular hours with the City, but is here almost every day. Gary Mancuso asked if it is possible to do more plan review over the counter. Staff responded it is something they are looking into. Ken Swanson said from a plan reviewer’s point of view, he likes to look at the plans to verify that all of the codes are correct and the correct notes are placed on the plans. UPDATE Other Projects of Interest Pearl Izumi Currently has an over-lot grading permit and has started to move dirt. o They are also splitting the permits into a foundation permit and the rest of the building on separate permits. Steel Ranch Ryland will have their homes completed in March 2013. o Steel Ranch South Confluence Builders currently have an over-lot grading permit and once o Planning has received their Letter of Credit and Public Works has approved their civil drawings, Building Safety can release the three apartment buildings which have completed the review process. ermit Applications New P Staff has updated the permit application forms and there are now three o application forms instead of two.The Commercial/Industrial Permit will be used for tenant finishes, new buildings, additions and demolitions. The Residential Permit will be used for new buildings, scrape offs, additions, remodels and demolitions. The newest permit, Miscellaneous Permit, will be used for the smaller jobs including: fences, decks, accessory structures, water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners and other smaller jobs.
