This is a copy of the Council <br />Communication that will be <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />presented at the regular <br />AGENDA ITEM ___ <br />Council Meeting on January <br />22, 2013. <br />SUBJECT: NON-PROFIT GRANT PROGRAM – FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS FOR 2013 <br />DATE:JANUARY 22, 2013 <br />PRESENTED BY: KEVIN WATSON, FINANCE DIRECTOR <br />SUMMARY: <br />The 2013 adopted budget contains $20,000 for grants/contributions to non-profit <br />agencies. <br />The Finance Department received thirteen applications for funding, which altogether <br />totaled $39,200. The Finance Committee has reviewed these applications and, at their <br />December 17, 2012 meeting, made their final recommendations. Below is a schedule <br />of non-profit grants from 2007 through 2012, the 2013 requests (highlighted in blue), <br />and the 2013 Finance Committee recommendations (highlighted in green). Note that <br />the grant program was suspended in 2010 and 2011 due to budgetary constraints. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />14 <br />
