The water line locate has not been made yet, therefore the closures will be in <br /> the next two weeks and occur for approximately two nights. A two day notice of closure <br /> will be provided to businesses. <br /> Doug Harper, owner of Union Jack Liquor, explained the detour went through his <br /> property, which was problematic for his customers. He stated workers directing traffic at <br /> the intersection acted inappropriately and failed to provide a safe passage for <br /> customers entering his store. Public Works Director Kowar stated he would contact the <br /> contractor about the situation and Public Works staff would work to improve the <br /> situation. <br /> City Manager Fleming highlighted items on the consent agenda approved by the City <br /> Council. 1) The Coal Creek Golf Club House improvements, bunker renovations and <br /> sprinkler heads replacement. 2) Keep it Clean Partnership, which provides public <br /> education and awareness on water quality. 3) Non-profit grant awards for 15 <br /> organizations, all of whom provide excellent services to the residents of Louisville. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> APPROVAL OF GREAT OUTDOORS COLORADO GRANT FOR FIRESIDE <br /> ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PLAYGROUND <br /> City Attorney Light outlined the documents before the Council are associated with the <br /> approval of the Great Outdoors Colorado Grant for Fireside Elementary School <br /> Playground. Those documents include: Resolution No. 5, Series 2013 —A Resolution <br /> Supporting the Agreement between the City and GOCO; an Intergovernmental <br /> Agreement between the City and the Boulder Valley School District and a Grant <br /> Agreement between the City of Louisville and the State Board of GOCO. <br /> Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br /> Parks and Recreation Director Stevens explained that this is the third grant application <br /> the City has submitted to Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) on behalf of Fireside <br /> Elementary School to assist with funding improvements to the grade school's <br /> intermediate playground. GOCO awarded a $42,750.00 mini grant to the City for the <br /> elementary school's playground project. He noted part of the grant requirement is to <br /> work with the Youth Conservation Corp, for which there is not funding. The grant <br /> funding allows $2,300 for the Youth Conservation Corp, therefore leaving a shortfall of <br /> $9,825.He recommended moving forward with an agreement with the Boulder County <br /> Youth Conservation Corp, for six youths and one team leader, who will assist with this <br /> project and additional parks and open space projects in Louisville. He recommended <br /> Parks and Open Space budget line items be adjusted to accommodate the expenditure. <br /> He noted there is a big demand for participation in the Youth Corp in Louisville. <br />
