SUBJECT: SALES TAX REPORTS FOR THE MONTH ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2012 <br />DATE: FEBRUARY 18, 2013 <br />PAGE2OF2 <br />The Monthly Revenue by Area report for December 2012 indicates gains for the <br />Interchange, Out-of-City vendors, Louisville Plaza, McCaslin North, Downtown, <br />Centennial Valley, Highway 42 South, Highway 42 North, Pine Street and Residential <br />areas. <br />The Quarterly Revenue by Area sales tax report through 4th quarter 2012 indicates <br />increases for all areas in 2012 except South Boulder Road, Highway 42 North, and the <br />South Suburban areas. <br />The monthly and quarterly sales tax revenue by industry reports represent the retail <br />health of individual industry sectors of the City.These reports include all vendors <br />remitting tax to the City. <br />The Monthly Revenue by Industry report for December 2012 indicates gains in Grocery, <br />Food/Beverage, Building Materials, Miscellaneous Retail, Wholesale, Automotive, <br />Construction and Agriculture sectors. <br />The Quarterly Revenue by Industry sales tax report through 4th quarter 2012 indicates <br />gains for all sectors in 2012 except Communications/Utilities, General Merchandise, and <br />Leasing/Financialsectors. <br />Annual Consumer Use Tax reports are provided for the comparison of consumer use <br />tax remitted by area and by industry sector. These reports reflect the top area as CTC <br />and the top industry as Services. <br />The Restaurant Revenue reports, including the 2012 year-end comparisons, indicate <br />eating and drinking establishments remaining at their highest recorded levels. The <br />Downtown, McCaslin North and Interchange areas all recognized gains in 2012. <br />Declines or flattening of revenue was seen for the areas Highway 42/South Boulder <br />Road and Louisville Plaza. <br />The Historical quarterly report indicates revenue for 4th quarter 2012 as the highest <br />quarter since 2003.
