Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes:Wednesday, January 16th, 2013 <br />City Hall,749 Main Street, Spruce Room <br />I.Call to Order:Themeeting was called to order at 6:30pm by Andy,Chair.Mary Ann Heaney <br />served as Secretary. <br />II.Roll Call:Members present(in bold):Cullen Choi,Mary Ann Heaney, Andy Johnson, <br />Claudia Lenz, Jim Bradford,Mark Persichetti,Ted Sontrop; Staff Liaison Dave Szabados; City- <br />Council LiaisonEmily Jasiack;guest: Gavin McMillan, Planning Department <br />III.Approval of Current-Meeting’s Agenda:The agenda was approved with no changes. <br />IV. Approval of SeptemberMeeting Minutes:The minutes were approvedwith no changes. <br />V. Public Commentson Items Not on the Agenda: <br />Emily reported that at a recent Council meetingthat she requested boards and commissionsbe <br />allowed to participate in the budget process. She also requested that LSAB members identify goals <br />th <br />and priorities and pass them on to Emily to take to Council. LSAB meets with Council February 12 <br />for their annual review.Emily said that a discussion of where LSAB is headed must occur at that <br />meeting. Also, she reported thatthere is a movement to identify a board to take responsibility for <br />Parks -to separate it fromOpen Space.At February’sdiscussion, Council will voice ideas of what <br />they feel LSAB’s role and activities should be; and those may differfrom how LSAB’s views its role. <br />VI.Introduction of new members: <br />Andy welcomednew membersClaudiaand Jim.All board members introduced themselvesthen <br />Claudia and Jimintroduced themselves. <br />VII.Board protocol <br />Annual city protocol require that the following be determined: <br />Posting of agendas -the following locationswere approved for posting:Library, Rec Center, <br />City Hall, Police Department, Spruce Room, City website <br />Meeting Location -members approved Spruce Roomas the meeting location <br />rd <br />Wednesday of each month <br />Meeting Schedule -3 <br />Distributionof Open Government Pamphlets-Dave distributed, it was also distributed as an <br />attachment to this meeting’s agenda. Dave reminded members that they must attendthe <br />class every other year.
