Cultural Council Meeting Minutes January 17, 2013 Page 3 of 3 XI. City Council Update — Frost Yarnell — shared that the City Council has started the 2014 budget. They are starting with setting goals and will be seeking the goals of the committees and boards first by sending the requests to the city staff asking for their goals and achievements then fit the goals to the budget. XII. Event/Project Reports — Susan worked on the Program Event template to make it easier for members who have not completed the forms. o Antero Winds — 1/27. Mark and Denice to put on the event. o Old Town Cinema Event — 1/25. Searching for Sugar Man. She doesn't need any volunteers for the event. o Coffeehouse/World Music program — 2/8 Emma discussed the program, Discussed if Gravity Brewing could be one of the sponsors. The City can't allow alcohol. o Status of Children's Events — 3/16, 1 -5 pm. Emma and Danyelle to put on a ferry ball. o Collaboration with LAA on Children's Art Show — will be held March 7th at the Library. Danyelle requested a check for $300 Andy moved to support the Art Show, Mark seconded. The motion was unanimous. o T- Shirts — Nothing new to report. XIII. Discussion /Brainstorming o Next steps from Study Session — o Guidelines for use of Arts Center and other City venues for Arts Programming. XIV. City Staff Update — Kathy will send the correct logo. The Recreation Center is working on a new catalog. XV Discussion Items for Next Meeting Next Meeting — Thursday, February 21 @ 7:00 PM at the Recreation Center. XVI. Adjourn — 9:30 pm Emma made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Jennifer seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned.
