ORDINANCE NO. 1144 SERIES 1994 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING, REPEALING AND REENACTING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF TITLE 15 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING BUILDING REGULATIONS, AND ADOPTING, REPEALING AND REENACTING, AND AMENDING VARIOUS UNIFORM CODES AS SET FORTH THEREIN, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1991 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE AND ENACTING AMENDMENTS THERETO, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1991 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE AND ENACTING AMENDMENTS THERETO, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1991 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE AND ENACTING AMENDMENTS THERETO, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1991 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1993 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE, ESTABLISHING CERTAIN BUILDING PERMIT AND LICENSE FEES WITHIN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, AND AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS PERTAINING TO VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES APPLICABLE TO SUCH CODES. WHEREAS, national building and construction standards have been developed and from time to time amended and updated, as set forth in various uniform codes, and it is deemed in the best interest of the citizens of Louisville, and in the interest of the public health, safety, and general welfare to adopt by reference thereto said uniform codes and amendments thereof tailored to accommodate particular circumstances and requirements of the City; and WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed the 1991 Editions of the Uniform Building Code, the Uniform Mechanical Code, the Uniform Plumbing Code, and the Uniform Fire Code, and the 1993 Edition of the National Electric Code, and recommends adoption of the same to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after proper notice as required by law, has held a public hearing on this ordinance providing for the adoption of said codes; and WHEREAS, the uniform codes and amendments thereof have been submitted to the City Council in writing and the City Council has determined that the uniform codes and amendments thereof should be adopted as set forth herein; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that certain permit and license fees relative to construction within the City of Louisville should be'amended as set forth herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO:
