<br />Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />September 5, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br />1. Bridget Bacon is not able to volunteer to work over 20 hours per week <br />due to federal labor laws. Bridget has been reimbursed for work over 20 <br />hours in 2006 and 2007. <br />2. Bridget's primary responsibilities are with the Museum and the public. She <br />will require more notice for Commission requests of her time so that she <br />can fit such requests into her schedule. <br />3. Meredyth Muth is investigating whether the Commission can contribute <br />funds to the City to increase Bridget's hours. <br />4. The preparation of the quarterly sales tax reports is a task that could be <br />done by the Commission. Alice Koerner volunteered to do this. <br />B. Museum Keys - Volunteers can no longer keep keys to city facilities so if any <br />Commission members have museum keys please return them to Meredyth. <br />C. City Council Study Session for the presentation of the Museum and <br />Commission's Strategic Plan is September 11,2007,7:00 p.m. in the Library <br />Meeting Room. <br />1. Meredyth Muth, Bridget Bacon, Donna Hauswald, and other Commission <br />members plan to attend. <br />2. Donna Hauswald shared with the Commission the letter to be included in <br />the City Council's meeting packet. The Commission approved of the <br />letter. <br />D. Adopt a Park Program - The Museum Campus could be part of this program <br />if anyone is interested or know of a group that may interested in taking this <br />on, please contact Meredyth or the Land Management Office. <br />E. Shop Louisville Campaign - The City of Louisville has asked for permission to <br />place an ad for the Shop Louisville Campaign in the next Louisville Historian. <br />The Commission agreed to this. <br />F. Louisville Middle School has invited the Commission to attend an open house <br />on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 to view plans for the school's <br />renovation. <br />G. The following Commission members' terms will expire in January, 2008: Sally <br />Burlingame, Elle Cabbage, Dave Ferguson, Diane Marino, Dan Mellish, and <br />Don Ross. Positions vacated by Stuart Pritchard and Bill Unrau may also be <br />filled in January. <br /> <br />VIII. Museum Coordinator's Report <br />A. Deeds of Gifts <br />1. JoEllen Francis - Photographs of scenes from buildings around the <br />Marketplace building on Main Street, c. 1950s <br />6. Brian Dillman - 1952-53 Telephone Directory <br />7. Bob Piccone - Scans of photos of the Piccone family <br />8. Kim Daldos - Scans of photos of the Affolter house and the Moffitt family <br />9. May Chapman - Prom booklets from 1961 and 1965, a Louisville Middle <br />School bleacher cushion, and a Louisville H.S. booster button from 1961 <br />
