Youth Community Awareness Summit <br />Mandy received an invitation for YAB members to attend a youth summit <br />th <br />sponsored by Jared Polis on Saturday April 27from 1-3pm. It will be involving <br />Boulder County and Colorado <br />Members filled out sheets with interest levels about possible discussion topics <br />VIII. Current Projects <br />A. Dear Louisville Books <br />th <br />D.E.C.A sponsored event at Monarch on February 9from 1-6 <br />Good target demographic, kids and parents <br />Possiblyan option for members that could not attend Royal Ball <br />Zero books were sold at Winter Skate <br />Price reduction from $15 to $10 <br />See if the libraries at L.E.S, Monarch H.S, and L.M.S are interested in <br />buying books? Kaylix-will go to Fireside and LMS Libraries. Karen- <br />can go to Monarch K-8 library. Caelis-will go to LES library. <br />Any other ideas? Joi says if you can think of other places to go, please do <br />so to try to sell these books. <br />B. Bike Safety Sub-Committee <br />Reviewed meeting from 6-7. <br />Joi passed around the logos for everyone to see. <br />Everyone (on sub-committee) will make one draft of the brochure to bring <br />to next meeting. <br />C. Art for Library Teen Loft <br />Kriska met with director and discussed current options <br />Studentproposalsrejected because of lack of feasibilityand other <br />concerns (cost, time, maintenance, ownership, etc.) <br />Worries also included: vandalism of artwork in an unsupervised area <br />Needs more collaborative elements from Y.A.B <br />Decals decided upon and installedby Y.A.B preferable <br />IX. Volunteer Project for February <br />th <br />Saturday,February 9, Royal Ball. Be there at 11am for set up. <br />Wear your red YAB shirts and black pants. Brooke-will dress up as <br />a princess. Caylix-will try to dress as a prince. <br />March: St. Patrick’s Day and Daffodil Days <br />X. Other Boards and Comissions <br />Joi and Eliza attended brief City Council Meeting <br />Main street patio may extend further into street <br />Water issues discussed as well as a vote to join CCUA <br /> <br />
