A. <br />B. <br />C. <br />D. <br />E. <br />A. <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br />B. <br />1. <br /> <br />Sec. 17.20.160. - Motor vehicle parking limitations. <br />It is unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle, or for any person as owner, lessee, tenant or occupant <br />of any residential lot to permit a motor vehicle to be parked, in the front yard of a residential lot except on the <br />paved driveway which is intended for parking or access to the garage or carport, or on an improved surface <br />adjacent to a paved driveway. <br />On residential lots, no more than two motor vehicles may be parked on any area of the lot other than within <br />a fully enclosed structure or on the paved driveway which is intended for parking or access to the garage or <br />carport. A motor vehicle which is parked or stored on an improved surface adjacent to a paved driveway, or <br />in a rear yard, a side yard, or a side yard adjacent to the street shall be counted towards the limit of two such <br />vehicles. No more than one such motor vehicle may be an inoperable vehicle as defined in section <br />8.16.040.D.1 of this Code. <br />No minimum setbacks are required for motor vehicles from adjoining property lines. <br />For the purposes of this section, "motor vehicle" means any self-propelled vehicle which is designed <br />primarily for travel on the public highways and which is generally and commonly used to transport persons <br />and property over the public highways, but excluding recreational vehicles as defined in section 17.20.165 <br />Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this section shall be punished for each violation as <br />provided in section 1.28.010. Each act or omission in violation of this section shall be deemed a separate <br />violation and for each calendar day during which any violation continues, a separate violation shall be <br />deemed to have been committed. <br />(Code 1977, § 17.16.160; Ord. No. <br />1537-2008, § 1, 8-5-2008) <br /> <br />Sec. 17.20.165. - Parking of recreational vehicles and trailers. <br />Residential areas: Recreational vehicles and trailers may be parked in residential zone districts subject to <br />the following requirements: <br />Total maximum number allowed: A maximum combined total of two of the following may be parked or <br />stored on a residential lot outside of a fully enclosed structure: <br />• Recreational vehicle; <br />• Boat; <br />• Trailer; <br />• Boat on a trailer. <br />Number within front yard setback: No more than one recreational vehicle or trailer may be parked or <br />stored in the front yard setback. <br />Improved surface required: A recreational vehicle or trailer parked or stored in a front yard setback <br />shall be parked on a paved driveway which is intended for parking or access to the garage or carport, <br />or on an improved surface adjacent to a paved driveway. <br />No encroachment: A recreational vehicle or trailer, including any bumpers, hitch apparatus, racks or <br />any other item thereon, (a) shall not encroach into a public street, sidewalk, or public right-of-way, <br />and (b) shall not be parked or stored within any vision clearance area or any sight-restriction area <br />required to be left open for visibility purposes. <br />Apartment buildings: The provisions of this section do not apply to residential lots exclusively used for <br />apartment buildings. <br />Maximum permitted length: The maximum length of a recreational vehicle or trailer shall not exceed <br />32 feet.
