Goals for 2013 <br />• The HPC desires to be a strong part of the team working to landmark, <br />preserve and adaptively reuse the Grain Elevator. <br />• The HPC will continue work with City Staff on the amendment to the 2009 <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />• The HPC will work on the creation of a Preservation Master Plan, which will <br />create a framework for which the future expenditures of the HPF can be <br />applied. <br />• The HPC hopes to conduct outreach to commercial property owners to <br />explain the benefits of landmarking. <br />• The HPC hopes to place the recently designed and ordered plaques on <br />existing landmarks. <br />• The HPC hopes to work with Council to develop a revolving loan program <br />through the HPF which would help ensure the HPF’s long-term utility (see <br />attachments 5 and 6). <br />• The HPC will continue to meet and work with the LRC and Economic <br />Development Director on or mutual goals. <br />• The HPC intends to improve outreach and communications with the <br />community and property owners. <br />• The HPC hopes to assist in the creation of a historic resource inventory, <br />based on the Reconnaissance Survey, that is available to the public. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
