<br />CityCouncil <br />Study Session Summary <br />December 11, 2012 <br />Library Meeting Room, 951 Spruce Street <br />7:00 <br />PM <br />st <br />The City Council met in a study session at7:00p.m. in the 1FloorMeeting <br />Room at the Louisville Public Library at 951 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado. <br />The following persons were present: <br />City CouncilPresent:Mayor Bob Muckle <br />Mayor Pro TemHank Dalton <br />Councilmember Emily Jasiak <br />Councilmember Jay Keany <br />Councilmember Susan Loo <br />Councilmember Ron Sackett <br />Councilmember Frost Yarnell <br />Staff Present:Malcolm Fleming, City Manager <br />Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager <br />Joe Stevens, Parks and Recreation Director <br />Kathy Martin, Recreation Superintendent <br />Troy Russ, Planning and Building Safety Director <br />Gavin McMillan, Planner III <br />Call to Order–The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PMby Mayor Muckle. <br />Update/Discussion-Louisville Cultural Council (LCC) <br />LCC members provided a presentation on their accomplishments in 2012 and <br />outlined the City’s current level of financial support in 2013. LCC Members <br />discussed the challenges they see and requested staffing be reallocated in 2014 <br />for a part-time Arts Administrator, the LCC staff be placed under the <br />Library/Museum services and that the LCC focus be as an arts advocate and <br />event generator. A number of arts advocates spoke in support of such a <br />proposal. City Council discussed the issues presented and suggested the <br />recommendations from the LCC will be considered as part of the 2014 budget <br />process.
