issues were reported with golfers circumventing the fenced off area for the
contractors use. This should decrease once more material is on-site.
c. The Open House to celebrate the renovation will be scheduled for mid-
May. Joe Stevens will ensure that Council Members are aware and can
schedule accordingly.
d. Proposals for Bunker Renovations are due by 5pm on Feb 15. 4
contractors have indicated interest.
e. No update from Avista on the sledding hill plan, the City Manager will
follow-up.
f. Completion of the tree work continues.
g. Quotes have been received for additional sprinkler heads with no increase
in cost from the last buy. Any Purchase Order will be held until the budget
remaining for this project is known.
Item. WGP Update
VI
a. The 2012 financial report was discussed. Party due to good weather,
2012 was a very good year with almost 40,000 rounds played. This
boosted revenue while remaining under budget for expenses.
b. The Maintenance Plan was inadvertently omitted from the Board Packet
and will be reviewed at our March Meeting.
c. The new golf carts will be delivered in April (subject to completion of the
renovations in the cart barn) and will be blue in color. The 4-year lease
contract will be at a noticeably higher rate than the previous 4-year
contract which expired in 2011. That previous contract was extended for 1
year to cover 2012 and was at a discounted rate.
d. While the bunkers on holes 2 through 5 will be renovated under the
pending contract, maintenance work will continue on the remaining
bunkers including adding sand as soon as wind-conditions permit. Indian
Peaks uses a Roto-tiller as a band-aid solution but this cannot be done at
Coal Creek due to the bunker liners and the shallow sand depth over the
rocky subsoil. WGP was encouraged to start work on bunker
maintenance/mitigation as soon as possible since Club Tournaments will
start shortly.
ItemMaster Plan Update
VII.
The Board discussed progress against the Master Plan adopted in 2012. Good
progress has been made against that plan with additional items being completed
in 2012 while remaining under budget. WGP was commended for the work
done in drainage maintenance which may have removed (or at least mitigated)
the need for significant drainage work listed in the Master plan. ADA legislation
meant that the Clubhouse Renovation was pulled forward into 2013 and, based

··
Parks and Recreation Department 749 Main Street Louisville, CO 80027
·
(303) 335-4735 FAX (303) 335-4738
www.louisvilleco.gov
Parks Recreation Senior Services O
Golf
