Arts Administrator Position Duties (Proposed) <br />Serves as municipal liaison to art and cultural groups such as Louisville Cultural Council, <br />Louisville Arts District, Louisville Art Association, Coal Creek Theater of Louisville, <br />CenterStage Theatre Company, The Art Underground and other non -profit and for profit arts <br />enterprises operating in the city of Louisville. Works to help secure and communicate necessary <br />permissions for special events and activities. <br />Assists with coordinating calendars, fostering communications among arts groups to help <br />maintain a high level of visibility and interconnectivity among volunteer, non -profit and for <br />profit art and cultural activities within the community. May contribute to publications which <br />accompany arts related events or activities as needed. <br />Performs general administrative and coordination duties in support of Louisville Cultural <br />Council. This includes: <br />• maintains master arts center calendar and publishes updates to user community <br />• maintains master art and cultural activity calendar for events in Louisville <br />• maintains and updates LCC website and email distribution list <br />• prepares and sends LCC newsletters and manages LCC social media tools <br />• manages board meeting documents and records <br />• initiates and provides new member orientation for incoming board members <br />• copies and posts event information as needed <br />• serves as official municipal contact for public inquiries, granting agencies, etc. <br />Supports Louisville arts organizations in seeking out, qualifying for and securing grants and/or <br />other outside funding for developing arts in the community. Assists with preparation of grant <br />requests for SCFD funding and related reporting <br />Performs other tasks as required to help develop and promote community interest in existing art <br />and cultural opportunities in Louisville. <br />Note: If possible, this part time position could be housed in the small office at the Louisville <br />Center for the Arts. The addition of internet service at the LCA would be a significant added <br />benefit for the smooth functioning of the resident arts groups. <br />
