Louisville City Council Meeting <br />January 15, 2002 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Davidson called for Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Sisk recused himself from the Avista Adventist Hospital Annexation discussions due to a <br />conflict of interest. <br /> <br />Davidson excused Council member Sisk. <br /> <br />Mayer stated that the normal procedure would be for Council to set a public hearing and <br />at that time a presentation would be made. <br /> <br />Davidson asked Planning Director Wood if a presentation would be made at the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Wood stated that he was prepared to make a presentation but would take Council <br />direction if they desired to set a public hearing without a formal presentation this <br />evening. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayer moved that Council approve Resolution No. 2, Series 2002, which <br />sets a public hearing for March 5, 2002, seconded by Levihn. Roll call vote was taken. <br />All in favor. Sisk excused. <br /> <br />ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Bill Simmons reported on the agenda for the January 22, 2002 work <br />session. He stated that from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., the first item will be the parking <br />improvement fee and from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m., the proposed amendments to the <br />Telecommunication Ordinance. He noted that the public hearing for the <br />Telecommunication Ordinance is scheduled for February 5, 2002. <br /> <br />Simmons also reported on a meeting with the Centennial Pavilions retail commercial <br />development in regards to the cash in-lieu of open space. He stated that at the meeting <br />the applicant, the developer and the City resolved all the issues and the subdivision <br />agreement would be signed shortly. Simmons reported that the cash in-lieu for open <br />space was based on $4.50 per foot, or $220,000. <br /> <br />Mayer asked for the dollar amount of the developer's previous offer for cash in-lieu <br />settlement. Simmons stated that it was $174,000. <br /> <br />Mayer thanked Council member Sisk for calling attention to the City getting an <br />appropriate cash in-lieu settlement. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
