RESOLUTION NO. 2S SERIES 1993 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE CABLE TELEVISION PERMIT ISSUED TO SCRIPPS HOWARD CABLE COMPANY WHEREAS, Scripps Howard Cable Company (the "Operator") has a permit to operate a cable television system in the City; and WHEREAS, the permit will expire in September, 1995; and WHEREAS, the Operator has requested the City to institute formal proceedings pursuant to the Cable Communications Policy Act of 1984 (the "Act"); and WHEREAS, the Act requires the City to commence proceedings which afford the publ ic an opportunity to identify the future cable-related needs and interests of the city, and to review the performance of the Operator under its permit during its current permi t term; and WHEREAS, the Operator has also requested the commencement of informal proceedings under the Act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: section 1. Public hearings are hereby scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on June 28, 1993, at the Louisville Recreation Center, 901 Via Appia, and for 9:00 a.m. on July 31, 1993, and 7:00 p.m. on September 21, 1993, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 749 Main Street. The public in the area served by the Operator's permit may participate in the public hearing for the purposes of: A. identifying the future cable-related needs and interests of the city; and B. reviewing the performance of the Operator under its permit during its current permit term. Section 2. Councilmember sisk shall serve as the City Council liason on cable television franchise renewal matters. Section 3. The City Administrator or the City Administrator's designee shall represent the City's interests in connection with the formal and informal proceedings under the Act, investigate the future cable-related needs and interests of the 1
