rates of five gallons per minute, or less, and to areas less than 4,000 square feet. <br />Drip irrigation taps are not available for landscaped areas incorporating spray <br />irrigated landscaping, regardless of size. Drip irrigation systems shall be physically <br />restricted in flow capacity to five gallons per minute or less. <br />Section 4. Subsections A and B of Section 13.24.030 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br />are hereby amended to read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are stfieken <br />thr-ough): <br />Sec. 13.24.030. Tap fee. <br />A. The sewer tap fee for single - family dwellings, including mobile <br />homes, and each dwelling unit in a duplex shall be as set forth in a city council <br />resolution establishing such fees. <br />B. The sewer tap fee for each senior independent living unit, as defined <br />in section 13.12.020 of this Code, shall be 60 percent of the existing charge for a <br />single - family dwelling sewer tap. The tap fee for each multifamily dwelling and <br />each townhouse in a group of attached "townhouses," as defined in section <br />17.08.560 of this Code, shall be 80 percent of the existing charge for a single - family <br />dwelling sewer tap. <br />the first tap, plus 60 percent of the appropriate tap fee for each subsequent tap <br />attached "townhouses," as defined in section 17.08.560 of this Code, after payment <br />in full for the first tap issued, shall be 80 percent of the existing charge for a three <br />quarter inch tap. <br />Section 5. The provisions of this Ordinance shall take effect June 25, 2013, provided <br />the same has been previously published in the manner required by the Home Rule Charter, and shall <br />apply to all tap and building permit applications filed on or after such date. Additionally, by <br />separate written agreement approved by resolution of the City Council, any provisions hereof may <br />be made applicable to taps which have been purchased and paid for but not installed as of the date <br />of City Council approval of this ordinance on second and final reading. <br />Section 6. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid for any reason, such <br />decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council <br />hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each part hereof irrespective of the fact <br />that any one part be declared invalid. <br />4 Ordinance No. 1633, Series 2013 <br />Page 4 of 6 <br />
