Business Retention & Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 6, 2013 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />Todd stated that food trucks are a pro-community effort. He would like food truck vendors from <br />other areas to come to a meeting to answer questions about how they work with the towns and <br />restaurants. <br /> <br />Rhonda asked about sales tax reporting. Hank said we will assume business owners will pay <br />appropriately. <br /> <br />Emily appreciated all the points made. <br /> <br />RETENTION MEETINGS <br /> <br /> Rocky Mountain Hyperbaric Institute – <br />o Hank reported on a visit. It is a small operation but that the owner has <br />expansion plans. <br /> <br /> Door to Door Organics <br />o Aaron met with Bill Mark the CFO of the company. The business is growing <br />and they are learning to deal with sales tax issues. <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BRIEFING <br /> <br /> Grain Elevator- Moving forward with an emergency stabilization agreement with the <br />Olde Town Group. <br /> Phillips 66- The property realtor is CBRE and staff has received several inquiries to <br />date. The City is not interested in a big housing development but will be hard to find a <br />single site user. <br /> Tennis Center: PUD has been approved. Construction has yet to begin. <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br /> David Sinkey, the new owner of 712 Main expressed that the Building department <br />required a lot of sets of plans but that the turnaround time was fine once they submitted <br />everything. He stated they are looking for parking solutions. <br /> Rhonda asked if there are any plans for electric plug-in stations for vehicles. Malcolm <br />stated the City has looked into it but they are costly. <br />. • Emily suggested Aaron attend Boulder Start Up Week. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING <br /> Michael Menaker suggested parking at the library needs to be an agenda item. He also <br />suggests polling City Council to determine perceptions on how business friendly <br />Louisville is. <br /> <br />ADJOURN – The meeting adjourned at 9:30 am.
