Michael Deborski, 601 Pine Sirreet, Louisville, CO stated he believes in the incentive programs, but struggles with the issue of confidentiality. He felt the business owners should come; forrward and explain why Louisville tax dollars should be spent on their businesses. Mayor Sisk explained a full presentation will be made before any Council vote is taken and the names will be made public. Carolyn Manzanares, owner of Senor T's Restaurant, 817 Main Street, Louisville, CO asked if there is criteria for restaurants and if the background of the applicant is known prior to giving assistance. Mayor Pro Tem Brown explained the confidentiality is critical however there will be disclosure of the names and background of the applicants when the assistance package is formally approved by City Council. He noted the packages are designed to protect the City's interest, but the City should not micromanage businesses. Council directed Staff to procE:ed with a formal proposal on September 4, 2007. AUGUST ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE Becky Hogan, EDge Consulting Becky Hogan, EDge Consulting, 56 Steele Street, Denver, CO updated Council on the economic development for the month of August. She introduced Community Facilitator Muth, vvho presented the Shop Louisville Campaign. Community Facilitator Muth prresented the Shop Louisville Campaign logo. The BRaD Committee and ZVC Consulting created the logo, which encompasses all the amenities provided by sales t;ax such as library and recreation services and open space. Mayor Sisk praised the Shop Louisville Campaign poster. Ms. Hogan stated as a part of the Shop Louisville Campaign, the Sub Committee will meet tomorrow to discuss unveiling the campaign. She updated Council on other business assistance projects. Project Beta is still pending; Project Delta is looking at expanding and there was an opportunity to meet with regional partners to discuss the expansion. Hogan and Assistant City Manager Balser met with the Home Depot Corporate representatives. The Home Depot has made a choice to reinvest in their Louisville store. They considered putting in another Home Depot in a neighboring community, but made a conscious decision not to move forward. She reported on the vacancy rate for Industrial, retail, and office: Office 21 %; Industrial space 5%; Retail 7%. She announced Inspire Medical will
