l .,' '# . ORDINANCE NO. 1138 SERIES 199.r-- AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN ASSOCIATE MEMBER ON THE LOCAL LICENSING AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, the City Council believes it is in the best interests of the City to provide for an associate member on the local licensing authority who may serve in the absence of a regular member; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Section 5.08.080 of the Louisville Municipal Code, as amended by Ordinance No. 1117, Series 1993, is amended by the addition of the following new paragraph E: E. In addition to the regular members of the authority, the city council may appoint one associate member for a four year term. In the event that any regular member of the authority is temporarily unable to act owing to absence from the city, illness, interest in a case before the authority, or any other cause, the absent member's place may be taken during such time by the associate member who shall have all the powers of a regular member while serving in the place of a regular member. Section 2. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each part hereof irrespective of the fact that anyone part be declared unconstitutional or invalid. Section 3. All other ordinances or portions thereof inconsistent or conflicting with this ordinance or any portion hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict.
