<br />l .,' <br /> <br />'# . <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1138 <br />SERIES 199.r-- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN ASSOCIATE MEMBER ON THE <br />LOCAL LICENSING AUTHORITY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council believes it is in the best interests <br />of the City to provide for an associate member on the local <br />licensing authority who may serve in the absence of a regular <br />member; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 5.08.080 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code, as amended by Ordinance No. 1117, Series 1993, is amended by <br />the addition of the following new paragraph E: <br /> <br />E. In addition to the regular members of the <br />authority, the city council may appoint one <br />associate member for a four year term. In the <br />event that any regular member of the authority is <br />temporarily unable to act owing to absence from the <br />city, illness, interest in a case before the <br />authority, or any other cause, the absent member's <br />place may be taken during such time by the <br />associate member who shall have all the powers of a <br />regular member while serving in the place of a <br />regular member. <br /> <br />Section 2. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be <br />unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not <br />affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining portions <br />of this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would <br />have passed this ordinance and each part hereof irrespective of the <br />fact that anyone part be declared unconstitutional or invalid. <br /> <br />Section 3. All other ordinances or portions thereof <br />inconsistent or conflicting with this ordinance or any portion <br />hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency or <br />conflict. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED, READ, PASSED ON FIRST <br />PUBLISHED this 7TH day of OE~#tJe <br /> <br />READING, AND ORDERED <br />, 1993. <br /> <br />-----r;::~v ~ <br /> <br />Tom Davidson, Mayor <br />
