City Council <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> September 3, 2013 <br /> Page 5 of 22 <br /> improvements at 1886 Prairie Way in the Colorado Technology Center in the City of <br /> Louisville. <br /> APPLICANT PRESENTATION <br /> Tom Potosky, Trelleborg General Manager, explained that he has been with the <br /> company in Broomfield since 1999. The company is a design and manufacturer of <br /> precision aerospace seals. They also service oil and gas, medical and a variety of other <br /> industries. They are looking at growing their company and through an exhausted <br /> search found the Pearl iZumi site in Louisville. He explained the CEO of Trelleborg <br /> drove through the Colorado Technology Center and liked what he saw. He noted <br /> Broomfield is very determined to have Trelleborg stay in Broomfield at their New North <br /> Park development, but they are excited about the Louisville location. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Council member Keany asked if the company was the former American Bear Seal. Mr. <br /> Potosky confirmed they were. <br /> Council member Keany stated he was very familiar with the company and would be <br /> happy to see them relocate to Louisville. He stressed the quality of life and the <br /> amenities for the employees in Louisville are top notch. <br /> Council member Jasiak pointed out Louisville's excellent trail systems and the food <br /> trucks at the Colorado Technology Center for employees. <br /> MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Dalton moved to approve Resolution No. 46, Series 2013, <br /> seconded by Council member Keany. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a <br /> vote of 7-0. <br /> ORDINANCE No. 1639, SERIES 2013 — AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE <br /> AND CONVEYANCE OF AN APPROXIMATLEY 1,069-ACRE PARCEL OF LAND <br /> OWNED BY THE CITY AND REFERRED TO AS THE LOUIVILLE GRAIN ELEVATOR <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 540 AND 544 FRONT STREET— PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Mayor Muckle requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1639, Series 2013. <br /> Mayor Muckle opened the public hearing and requested a staff presentation. <br /> Economic Development Director DeJong explained Ordinance No. 1639, Series 2013 <br /> approves a proposed Purchase and Sale Agreement between the City and Louisville <br /> Mill Site, LLC for the Historic Grain Elevator Property located at 540 Front Street. <br />
