<br />ORDINANCE NO. 1133 <br />SERIES 1993 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN FEE REQUIREMENTS TO ASSIST <br />IN MEETING GROWTH RELATED NEEDS OF THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville, Colorado, has experienced <br />substantial population growth in recent years, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such population growth has placed and will continue <br />to place a burden on the ability of the City to provide public <br />services in a timely fashion to accommodate the growth; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City will need additional resources in order to <br />provide necessary water services to its additional population, as <br />described in the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is a demonstrated need to provide additional <br />capital improvements to serve the City's growing population; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has incurred bonded debt in order to <br />construct new facilities necessary to provide a water supply to <br />serve the present and future population of the City and new <br />development should pay its fair share of such costs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the most recent consumer price index for the <br />Denver/Boulder Area shows an increase of 4.3%; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, increases in certain water tap fees will assist in <br />defraying the costs of providing or expanding City services made <br />necessary by new development within the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville <br />hereby determines that the increases in fees set forth herein are <br />reasonably designed to defray the overall costs of the services or <br />facilities for which the fees are imposed, and that the increases <br />reasonably relate to the needs created or contributed to by new <br />development. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 13.12.040 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code, entitled "Tap fee -- Table B.", as amended by Ordinance No. <br />1082, Series 1992, only the following portion of Subsection A is <br />amended to add the following new Table B after the Table B <br />effective January 1, 1993, and to amend Subsection D, to read as <br />follows (numbers and words to be deleted are stricken through; <br />numbers to be added are underlined; and words to be added appear in <br />capital letters): <br /> <br />1 <br />
