ORDINANCE NO. 1124 SERIES 1993 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 14 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE AUTHORITY TO PERMIT LIMITED TEMPORARY ACCESS THROUGH PARKS AND OPEN SPACE AND CLARIFY THE DEFINITION OF PARKS. WHEREAS, Section 14.12.010 of Title 14 prohibits the operation of vehicles through parks and open space except in designated areas; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that limited temporary access through and across non-designated park areas for events and activities conducted in or adjacent to parks is sometimes necessary due to lack of feasible alternative access; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Director of Parks and Recreation should be authorized to permit such limited temporary access through City parks and open space. WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to clarify that the use of the term "parks" as it appears in Title 14 includes public open space. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Section 14.08.050 of the city of Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words to be added are capitalized): 14.08.050 Parks. "Parks" includes all grounds, roadways, avenues, parks, CITY-OWNED OPEN SPACE, parking lots, and areas and recreation facilities therein under the supervision of the Louisville department of parks and recreation. Section 2. Subsection F of Section 14.12.010 of the City of Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words to be added are capitalized; words to be deleted are stricken through): 14.12.010 compliance required.
