<br />building codes provides additional energy conservation and best building practices <br />which are both recognized as a sustainable community practices; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a third core value of the City in the 2013 Comprehensive Plan <br />promotes: <br />A Balanced Transportation System . . . where the City desires to make <br />motorists, transit customers, bicyclists and pedestrians of all ages and abilities partners <br />in mobility, and where the City intends to create and maintain a multimodal <br />transportation system to ensure that each user can move in ways that contribute to the <br /> and <br />balancing the design of the streets which ensure appropriate fire access and multimodal <br />safety is necessary to ensure overall safety to the community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a fourth core value of the City in the 2013 Comprehensive Plan <br />promotes: <br />maintain safe, thriving and livable neighborhoods so residents of all ages experience a <br />and requiring sprinklers in all <br />residential structures along with requiring best engineering practices to create safer <br />streets will ensure safer neighborhoods in Louisville; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing held September 19, 2013 and <br />continued to October 17, 2013, where evidence and testimony were entered into the <br />record, the Louisville Building Code Board of Appeals and City staff reviewed the 2012 <br />Editions of the International Building Code, International Residential Code, International <br />Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Energy Conservation <br />Code, International Fire Code, International Plumbing Code, Existing Building Code and <br />the most recent State adopted Edition of the National Electrical Code and recommends <br />adoption of the same to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after proper notice as required by law, has held a <br />public hearing on this ordinance providing for the adoption of said codes; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 15.04 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby repealed <br />and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows (words added are underlined; <br />words deleted are stricken through): <br /> <br />Sec. 15.04.010.
