<br />WHEREAS, a third core value of the City in the 2013 Comprehensive Plan <br />promotes: <br />A Balanced Transportation System . . . where the City desires to make <br />motorists, transit customers, bicyclists and pedestrians of all ages and abilities partners <br />in mobility, and where the City intends to create and maintain a multimodal <br />transportation system to ensure that each user can move in ways that contribute to the <br />and <br />economic prosperity, public health, and exceptional quality of life in the City. <br />balancing the design of the streets which ensure appropriate fire access and multimodal <br />safety is necessary to ensure overall safety to the community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a fourth core value of the City in the 2013 Comprehensive Plan <br />promotes: Safe Neighborhoods . . . where the City ensures our policies and actions <br />maintain safe, thriving and livable neighborhoods so residents of all ages experience a <br />strong sense of community and personal security. <br />residential structures along with requiring best engineering practices to create safer <br />streets will ensure safer neighborhoods in Louisville; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing held September 19, 2013 and <br />continued to October 17, 2013, where evidence and testimony were entered into the <br />record, the Louisville Building Code Board of Appeals and City staff reviewed the 2012 <br />Editions of the International Building Code, International Residential Code, International <br />Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Energy Conservation <br />Code, International Fire Code, International Plumbing Code, Existing Building Code and <br />the most recent State adopted Edition of the National Electrical Code and recommends <br />adoption of the same to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, based on the findings in the Louisville Building Code Board of <br />Appeals, Staff Report, the recommendation of City Staff, and the testimony of the <br />witnesses and the documents made a part of the record of the public hearing, the <br />Building Code Board of Appeals finds that the proposed ordinance should be adopted in <br />essentially the same form as accompanies this Resolution; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BUILDING CODE BOARD OF <br />APPEALS OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br /> The Building Code Board of Appeals hereby recommends adoption of the proposed <br />ordinance, entitled n Ordinance Amending Title 15 of the Louisville Municipal Code to <br />Adopt by Reference The 2012 Edition of the International Building Code, The 2012 Edition <br />of the International Residential Code, The 2012 Edition of the International Mechanical <br />Code, The 2012 Edition of the International Fuel Gas Code, The 2012 Edition of the <br />International Energy Conservation Code, The 2012 Edition of the International Fire Code, <br />The 2012 International Plumbing Code, The 2012 Edition of the Existing Building Code <br />and the Most Recent State Adopted Edition of the National Electrical Code; Enacting <br />Certain Amendments to the Foregoing International Codes; Establishing Fees Under the <br />International Building Code; Amending, Repealing and Reenacting Certain Sections of <br />Title 15 of the Louisville Municipal Code in Connection with the Adoption of the Foregoing <br />International Codes; and Establishing Penalties for Violations of Such Codes. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
