State law mandates that a
Conservation Trust Fund be established to record revenue and expenditures and that
these funds be restricted for acquisition, development, and maintenance of new
conservation sites or for capital improvements or maintenance for recreational purposes
on any public site.
The following chart summarizes the total five-year costs of each recommended project
compared with the total five-year costs of the departmental requests. The Conservation
Trust — Lottery Fund was unable to support the total requested C-I-P of $1.7 million.
Therefore, the recommended C-I-P reduces, delays, and eliminates projects to reach a
total five-year expenditure total of$1.0 million.
XIII
15
