Revitalization Commission Minutes September 9, 2013 Page 2 of 4 Public Comments — none Reports of the Commission: Commissioner Gorsevski who represented the LRC on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) McCaslin Study asked about the results of the study. Planning Director Troy Russ reported final edits are being done. He reported it will be informative 3rd party take on the area. Chairperson Becker requested a follow up on the Main Street Colorado meeting to continue to encourage collaboration among the downtown organizations. Commissioner Hernandez reported that the Association of Bicycle Professionals will be in town on Sept. 10, 201. He will be hosting them for a 2 hour tour of Louisville. Planning director Russ reported that Partners for Smart Growth will be coming in February 2014 and Louisville will be part of their tour. Deputy City Manager Balser reported that City Council is having a Study Session on the Northwest Area Mobility Study (NAMS) on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Business Matters of the Commission — a. South Street Underpass Update: Planning Director Russ said we are still waiting for BSNF approval to go onto tracks and take soil boring sample. This is necessary for final calculations for bridge production. b. Gateway Sign Update: The sign showing the design of the gateway underpass is in production. c. Tri-Party Agreement with County: Economic Director Aaron DeJong thanked the Commission for their input and said that a letter is being drafted to go to the County. The requests in the letter will be centered around the funding sent to the County under the IGA be earmarked for improvements in the area. d. October 22nd Study Session: DeJong reviewed a draft of the Council Communication he would like to present to City Council at the October 22nd Study Session. The Communication gives an overview of the LRC actions since August 2012 and outlines future initiatives.
