Revitalization Commission <br />Minutes <br />September 9, 2013 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />Public Comments — none <br />Reports of the Commission: <br />Commissioner Gorsevski who represented the LRC on the Urban Land <br />Institute (ULI) McCaslin Study asked about the results of the study. <br />Planning Director Troy Russ reported final edits are being done. He <br />reported it will be informative 3rd party take on the area. <br />Chairperson Becker requested a follow up on the Main Street Colorado <br />meeting to continue to encourage collaboration among the downtown <br />organizations. <br />Commissioner Hernandez reported that the Association of Bicycle <br />Professionals will be in town on Sept. 10, 201. He will be hosting them for <br />a 2 hour tour of Louisville. <br />Planning director Russ reported that Partners for Smart Growth will be <br />coming in February 2014 and Louisville will be part of their tour. <br />Deputy City Manager Balser reported that City Council is having a Study <br />Session on the Northwest Area Mobility Study (NAMS) on Tuesday, <br />September 10, 2013. <br />Business Matters of the Commission — <br />a. South Street Underpass Update: <br />Planning Director Russ said we are still waiting for BSNF approval to go <br />onto tracks and take soil boring sample. This is necessary for final <br />calculations for bridge production. <br />b. Gateway Sign Update: <br />The sign showing the design of the gateway underpass is in production. <br />c. Tri-Party Agreement with County: <br />Economic Director Aaron DeJong thanked the Commission for their input <br />and said that a letter is being drafted to go to the County. The requests in <br />the letter will be centered around the funding sent to the County under the <br />IGA be earmarked for improvements in the area. <br />d. October 22nd Study Session: <br />DeJong reviewed a draft of the Council Communication he would like to <br />present to City Council at the October 22nd Study Session. The <br />Communication gives an overview of the LRC actions since August 2012 <br />and outlines future initiatives. <br />
