City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 12, 2013 <br />Page 2 of 15 <br />RECOGNITION OF SERVICE, OUTGOING COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />FROST YARNELL AND RON SACKETT <br />Mayor Muckle expressed his thanks to Council members Yarnell and Sackett for their <br />eight years of dedicated service to the City. Mayor Pro Tem Dalton also thanked <br />Council members Sackett and Yarnell for their excellent service to the City. <br />Mayor Muckle presented plaques to Council members Yarnell and Sackett for their <br />years of excellent service to the City of Louisville. <br />Council member Sackett thanked the citizens of Ward III for their support and looked <br />forward to supporting the new Council members. He felt democracy is a wonderful <br />thing and was confident of Louisville's future. He expressed his thanks to the City staff. <br />Council member Yarnell thanked her fellow Council members and stated it has been a <br />wonderful adventure. She expressed her thanks to the City staff for their assistance, <br />the Louisville citizens and her family for supporting her while she served on Council. <br />OATH OF OFFICE, CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS - EMILY JASIAK, WARD I; JEFF <br />LIPTON, WARD II AND ASHLEY STOLZMANN, WARD III <br />Municipal Judge W. Bruce Joss swore in Emily Jasiak, Ward I Council member; Jeff <br />Lipton, Ward II Council member, and Ashley Stolzmann, Ward III Council member. The <br />three new Council members were then seated at the dais. <br />RECEPTION <br />The City Council recessed at 7:20 p.m. to a reception honoring outgoing Council <br />members Ron Sackett and Frost Yarnell and welcoming incoming Council members <br />Emily Jasiak, Jeff Lipton and Ashley Stolzmann. The meeting reconvened at 7:42 p.m. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />Debby Fahey, 1118 W. Enclave Circle, Louisville, CO thanked Council members Frost <br />Yarnell and Ron Sackett for their eight -year service to the City and congratulated <br />Council members; Jeff Lipton and Ashley Stolzmann. She noted while campaigning for <br />office she heard residents comments on safety issues on three City intersections: 1) <br />McCaslin and Cherry; 2) Owl Drive and Pine Street and 3) No crosswalk at Via Appia to <br />connect to the arboretum. <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Muckle called for changes to the consent agenda and hearing none, moved to <br />approve the consent agenda, seconded by Council member Jasiak. All were in favor. <br />Absent: Council member Keany. <br />
