Louisville City Council Meeting <br />August 20, 2002 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayer stated that his concern centered on the rapid transit station. <br /> <br />Davidson stated that the Approval of Memorandum of Understanding with Superior <br />Regarding McCaslin Interchange Agreement would be removed from the Consent <br />Agenda and discussed under Council business as Agenda Item I. <br /> <br />MOTION: Davidson moved that Council approve the consent agenda, as amended, <br />seconded by Levihn. All in favor. Keany absent. <br /> <br />Approval of Bills <br />Approval of Minutes (8/6/02) <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE <br /> AGENDA <br /> <br />Jay Berger, 1016 Main Street, Louisville, CO, stated that he received a notice of a public <br />hearing from the Planning Department concerning changes to one of the buildings are <br />Front Street. He stressed that the notice did not indicate the issue before the Planning <br />Commission. He suggested that notices include a brief description of the issue to be <br />discussed at the public hearing. <br /> <br />Davidson agreed and asked Planning Director Wood to look into the matter. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1396 SERIES 2002 - AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND <br />REENACTING CHAPTER 8.56 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />ENTITLED "SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES PROHIBITED, AND INCLUDING <br />PROVISIONS TO PROHIBIT SMOKING IN INDOOR PUBLIC PLACES AND <br />OUTDOOR EATING AREAS - 2nd reading - public hearing (advertised in the <br />Daily Camera 08/10/02) <br /> <br />Levihn recused himself from the discussion and vote on the smoking ordinance. He <br />explained that he is an officer with the Tri-City Elks Club. <br /> <br />Davidson asked that the record reflect that Council member Levihn was excused from the <br />discussion and vote of Ordinance No. 1396, Series 2002. <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
