Louisville City Council Meeting <br />September 17, 2002 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Davidson reported that the Turnpike Mayors will travel to Washington D.C. to meet with <br />representatives and discuss federal funding transportation improvements along the US 36 <br />Highway/Turnpike Corridor. <br /> <br />Sisk asked for Council authorization for Staff time to broaden the non-smoking ordinance <br />to include a buffer area around businesses. There was Council consensus. <br /> <br />Brown reported that, at the Open Space Advisory Board meeting, members requested that <br />the City Council endorse Ballot Issue 2D, which would extend the Open Space tax. <br /> <br />Keany stated that he spoke with City Attorney Light and confirmed that Council can pass <br />a resolution of support for any of the ballot issues. He asked that Council consider <br />supporting all four ballot issues. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />,,oved that Council adjourn (8:45 p.m.), seconded by Levihn.
