He announced their first meeting would be Thursday, November <br />07, 2002 at 7:00 p.m., and introduced Staff representative Mandy Balzarani from the <br />Recreation Department to the Mayor and Council. He reported that there are <br />representatives from all the schools except for St. Louis and Monarch K-8. He asked <br />Council to forward any matters for the Youth Advisory Board to Balzarani or to him. <br /> <br />Sisk addressed the results of the November 5, 2002 election. He congratulated <br />Councilman Tom Mayor on being elected as County Commissioner. He noted that <br />Louisville citizens strongly reinforced the open space tax and the lodging tax. He stated <br />that with the defeat of ballots issues 2A and 2B, the City would have to evaluate the <br />desires of the citizens with respect to new municipal facilities. <br /> <br />Brown commented that Louisville had an impressively large election turnout. <br /> <br />Davidson also addressed the results of the election. He stated that Louisville is very well <br />presented in the County, and in the State. He noted that the lodging tax would be an <br />important source of revenue. With respect to the defeat of Ballot Issue 2A and 2B, he <br />stated that Council would have to revisit the capital project budgets. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />
