BUSINESS RETENTION AND <br />DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />SUBJECT: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br />DATE:DECEMBER 2, 2013 <br />PRESENTED BY: AARON DEJONG, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />Historic Grain Elevator – Louisville Mill Site, LLC has begun cleanup work on the <br />th <br />building. I got a tour of the building on November 15. The northern and southern <br />portions of the building have potential to be leasable space.They expect to begin the <br />stabilization work in December. <br />Village Square Redevelopment / Alfalfa’s – The deconstruction component of the <br />project is complete. Sitework and infrastructure has begun. Alfalfa’s is still shooting for <br />a late April opening. Half of the retail building along South Boulder Road has letters of <br />intent. <br />Pearl iZumi – The majority of the building has received certificate of occupancy, two <br />small areas have yet to be signed off. They are completely out of the 1886 Prairie <br />th <br />building. They are having an opening celebration on December 8. <br />Highway 42 Revitalization – DELO submitted their Final Planned Unit Development to <br />Planning in early November. The plans are out for referral comments. <br />Boulder County Business Report Real Estate Conference – I gave a presentation at the <br />st <br />Real Estate conference on November 21 along with Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont, and <br />Broomfield. The topic was “Breaking Ground” and it was an update of what happened <br />in 2013 and what is planned for 2014. <br />Phillips 66 Property – No additional interest has been received by the City for the <br />property. CBRE continues to market the property for the Company. I am working with <br />CBRE to find a time for an update meeting. <br />11 <br />
