Lawrence Anderson <br /> Lawrence Anderson grew up in Boulder and graduated from Fairview High School. <br /> He attended the College of Music at the University of Colorado and graduated <br /> with a degree in voice performance/music theatre. Lawrence recently returned to <br /> Boulder after spending 21 years based in New York City and working in the <br /> theatre business all over the world. As an actor and singer he performed leading <br /> roles in Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway, National <br /> Tours, and in Europe. <br /> Following his performing career, Lawrence worked extensively in commercial <br /> theatre with a focus on general management, theatrical finance and producing. <br /> He was Director of Finance for Broadway Asia Entertainment, an international <br /> production company with diverse theatrical business operations throughout the <br /> Pacific Rim. He was Controller for all North American productions of Wicked, The <br /> Graduate (Kathleen Turner), Man of La Mancha — Revival (Brian Stokes Mitchell <br /> and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio), and many other Broadway and Off-Broadway <br /> musicals and plays. He has also worked as General Manager and Producer on <br /> many Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. In NYC, Lawrence served on the <br /> board of the Harbor Theatre Company. <br /> For the past three years, since returning to Boulder County and living in Louisville, <br /> Lawrence has been the Executive Director of the Boulder Center for the <br /> Performing Arts, a nonprofit whose mission is to build a new performance and <br /> events facility in downtown Boulder. He currently serves on the Vocal Advisory <br /> Board for the College of Music at the University of Colorado, and the Boulder <br /> County Arts Leadership Forum (BCALF), a program of the Boulder County Arts <br /> Alliance. <br /> 28 <br />
