2014 Board and Commission Application Cityor
Page 2 of 4 Louisville
cor.01,,tlk1•z,iNt.l:1 W:4
STATEMENT OF INTEREST:
Briefly describe your interest in serving on this Board or Commission. Feel free to indicate
any areas of expertise, background, concerns and/or general information that may be
applicable,
OSAB - I am the parent of one (soon to be two) young children, and we live on
the NW corner of the Warembourg open space. My family and I use our local
and regional open spaces on a regular basis to walk, bike, run, and play. I
believe a large part of the high quality of life we enjoy here in Louisville is a
result of the comprehensive open space system in our city and surrounding
communities. I formerly worked as an outdoor educator at the Keystone
Science School (in Summit County) and feel strongly about the importance of
having natural places for the development of young minds. I am interested in
becoming more involved in local government, and believe I will add a good
perspective to the open space advisory board.
Adjustment - I recently hosted a series of land use workshops at my job that
focused on decreasing the water footprint of new development. As a result of
this experience, I find land use and zoning issues to be tremendously
interesting and important in determining the character of a community. I would
like to become more involved in local government, and find particular interest
in land use issues here in Louisville.
NOTE: You may also attach a letter, resume, statement, or other information you feel
may be relevant to your application.
CURRENTLY SERVING ON A BOARD:
Do you currently sit on a City Board or Commission other than the one for which you are
currently applying?®YES ONO If Yes, please identify that board.
Utility Rate Task Force
CURRENT BOARD MEMBERS ONLY:
If you are applying to be REAPPOINTED, what are the most significant issues the Board is
currently addressing and how would you like to see these issues resolved?
34
