Cityt , <br /> - Louisville <br /> Vemorandum <br /> To: Mayor and City Council <br /> From: Meredyth Muth, Public Relations Manager <br /> Date: November 22, 2013 <br /> Re: Appointment Needs for Specific Boards or Commissions <br /> Listed below are specific appointment needs or requirements for some of the City's boards. <br /> Please keep this information in mind when making your board appointments. <br /> Historic Preservation Commission: <br /> For the Historic Preservation Commission to retain its status as a Certified Local <br /> Government with the Colorado Historical Society,we must meet a membership <br /> requirement that 40%of the Commission be professionals in a preservation-related <br /> discipline. In total,the Commission must have three members who are professionals in <br /> one of the following fields to meet the requirement. <br /> • Architecture • Planning <br /> • Landscape Architecture • American Studies <br /> • Architectural History • American Civilization <br /> • Archeology • Cultural Geography <br /> • History • Cultural Anthropology <br /> One of the two positions currently open must be filled by a preservation professional to <br /> retain our CLG status. <br /> A minimum of two members of the board must reside or own property in the Old Town <br /> Overlay District. One sitting member is already a resident of Old Town,so at least one of the <br /> members appointed for 2014 must reside in Old Town. <br /> it's acceptable to appoint one person to fill both roles(i.e.a preservation professional who lives <br /> in Old Town). <br /> Building Code Board of Appeals <br /> Members must be"qualified by experience and training to pass on matters pertaining to <br /> building construction." <br /> 8 <br />
