being the intent hereof to repeal any provisions of such ordinances not otherwise repealed pursuant <br />to Section 1, above. Further, all other ordinances or portions thereof inconsistent or conflicting with <br />this ordinance or any portion hereo:F are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency or <br />conflict. <br />Section 3. Chapter 13.12 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended by the <br />addition of a new Section 13.12.105, 'to read as follows: <br />Sec. 13.12.105 Water Use Rebate. <br />A. There is established a water use rebate program to provide financial <br />assistance payments to qualifying individuals, as set forth in this section. In order <br />to receive a water use rebate; payment, the applicant must meet all qualifications <br />as set forth in subsection B of this section and must make application therefor <br />annually at such time and in such manner as is required by the Director of <br />Finance. The Director of Finance may establish rules and forms consistent with <br />this section for administration oi'the water use rebate program. <br />B. To qualify for a water use rebate payment, an applicant must meet all of <br />the following requirements: <br />1. The applicant or spouse must be 65 years of age or older by <br />August 1 of the year iin which the application is submitted. <br />2. The applicant must have been a resident of the city for a majority <br />of the calendar year (receding the calendar year in which the application is <br />made. No water use rebate shall be paid to any resident of any dwelling <br />for any specific peric-d of time if any other resident of that same dwelling <br />has received or is entitled to receive a water use rebate for the same period <br />of time. <br />3. The applicant or espouse must have paid property taxes or rent on or <br />for a dwelling unit on which property taxes were assessed for all or a <br />majority of the calendar year preceding the year in which the application is <br />submitted. <br />4. The applicant's total annual household income does not exceed <br />$25,000. <br />5. Application for payment shall be verified by the applicant and <br />must be made within such time as is established by the Director of <br />Finance. <br />C. The maximum amount of the annual water use rebate paid to a qualifying <br />applicant shall be $100.00. Such amount shall be paid either by city check or <br />2 <br />
