Approval to Caincel December 25, 2007 and January 8, 2008 <br />Study Sessions, and to Move the January 1, 2008 City Council <br />Regular Meeting to January 8, 2008 at 7:00 PM <br />PUBLIC COMMEINTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br />Caroline Mitchell, 3223 Iron Forge Place, Boulder, CO, Community Outreach <br />Specialist for Eco-Cycle, presented Council with the Boulder/Broomfield County <br />School Recycling and Enviror~mE;ntal Education Program report. The report <br />covered activities from August 2006 through June of 2007. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATION~\L COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella reported at the Louisville Housing Authority meeting, <br />the Authority approved the purchase of new windows for the Sunnyside Housing <br />Units. New windows will be purchased and installed. She expressed her thanks <br />to Council for funding the project. <br />Councilor Muckle reported on the passing of two notable Boulder County <br />residents; Janet Roberts, past Ciity of Boulder Council member who was <br />instrumental in Boulder's Open Space Programs; and John Frior, Past Director at <br />NCAR, a noted scientist and climatologist. Councilor Muckle wished all the <br />residents a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. <br />Mayor Sisk reported on a public hearing of the Historic Preservation Commission <br />on the demolition of two downtown properties in downtown Louisville. He noted <br />the City has a number of important historic buildings and announced he would <br />appoint a committee of six to discuss preservation of the City's historic buildings. <br />The committee would be made up of one member of the City Council, Downtown <br />Business Association, Chamber of Commerce, Historic Preservation <br />Commission, Historical Commission, and one long-time Louisville resident. <br />Mayor Sisk reported on the Congestion Relief Application for Federal funding for <br />Highway 36, which is due on (December 31. He also wished everyone a Merry <br />Christmas, Happy Chanukah anti a Happy New Year.
