Authority member Carlson congratulated Mr. Amerfathi on his <br />entrepreneurial spirit and thanked him for bringing his endeavors to the <br />community. <br />Chairperson Rommelfanger asked if any members of the audience wished to <br />speak in favor of the applicant. Hearing none, Rommelfanger called for any <br />members of the audience wishing to speak in opposition. Hearing none, he <br />asked if the applicant had a closing statement. Mr. Amerfathi stated he wants to <br />remain an active business owner in Louisville. <br />Chairperson Rommelfanger closed the public hearing and called for member <br />discussion. Hearing no further discussion, Rommelfangercalled for a motion. <br />Liptonmoved the Local Licensing Authority of the City of Louisville find the <br />applicant is of good moral character, the inhabitants of the neighborhood desire <br />the license be granted, the license will meet the reasonable requirements of the <br />neighborhood, all City and State law requirements have been met and, based on <br />these findings, the Local Licensing Authority the change of location for In Season <br />LLC d/b/a In Season Local Market conditioned on a completed lease assignment. <br />Carlson seconded. All in favor. <br />Authority members thanked Mr. Amerfathi. <br />Police Department Reports <br />A.Incident –Lulu’s/Ralphie’s –10/5/13 <br />This report concerned police response to a possible hit and run. The driver <br />stated he had drinks at Lulu’s and Ralphie’s. The Authority members agreed <br />there was no way to confirm where the driver had been prior to the police <br />response and agreed there was nofurther action to be taken by the <br />Authority. <br />B.Discussion/Direction –State Liquor Enforcement Compliance <br />Checks <br />Sergeant Lanphere apologized for not being present at the last meeting <br />when this discussion began. He reported the dual enforcement with local <br />and state for liquor created a unique environment. His interest in becoming <br />more involved in the local liquor enforcement led to discussions with State <br />enforcement. Discussions with State enforcement led to an agreement the <br />Louisville Police Departmentwould be notified when compliance checks <br />were conducted by the State. In the most recent case, Louisville was not <br />notified until after the checks had been conducted. Sergeant Lanphere <br />stated this may have been a result of scheduling and his availability. He <br />reported at the last seller/server training, there was an emphasis on selling to <br /> <br />
