The cabins could be fully furnished <br /> and viewed by visitors and would be a great addition to the City's mining history. She <br /> felt this idea must be considered soon as the cabins are deteriorating through neglect <br /> and will soon be compromised much like the historic Rod and Gun Club. She <br /> requested the City Council and the Parks Department consider this item at a future City <br /> Council meeting. <br /> Jeff Chu, 1959 Cedar Ridge Circle, Superior, CO discussed the Louisville/Superior IGA <br /> with respect to the Town Center in Superior. He urged Council to oppose the Superior <br /> Town Center. He reported being on the Superior Town Board when the IGA was <br /> approved and in his opinion, the intent of the IGA was for a significantly higher level of <br /> retail and commercial. He addressed the amount of TIF and felt it affects everyone in <br /> the county and the state. He explained the developer has requested $100 million in TIF, <br /> which takes away from the schools and the county, for residential development. He <br /> stated TIF is generally used for generating parking structures to enhance the <br /> development and not for housing infrastructure. He addressed the Storage Tech <br /> property and felt sure the City and its citizens are looking for a good fit for the property <br /> and not envisioning using TIF money for putting in homes. He urged the Council to let <br /> Superior know the path they are taking is not acceptable. <br /> APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Mayor Muckle moved to approve the consent agenda, seconded by Council member <br /> Loo. The City <br /> advertised for the position and received 46 applications. Based on the requirements the <br /> number has been scaled down to 26 applicants. The Police Chief, HR Manager, <br /> Deputy City Manager and the City Manager will screen those 26 applicants further to <br /> select candidates for interviews.
