DEJONG, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
SUMMARY:
The Boulder County Housing Authority (BCHA) wants to update City Council on
Louisville Housing Authority actions and implementation of BCHA's future initiatives in
Louisville.
BACKGROUND:
The City Council approved an Intergovernmental Agreement among the City, Louisville
Housing Authority, and the Boulder County Housing Authority on August 21, 2012. The
IGA outlines the transfer of LHA's assets to BCHA and commits BCHA to provide
affordable housing in Louisville over the next 50 years. Adopting the IGA transferred to
BCHA assets and debt of the LHA and provided for BCHA to operate as the housing
authority for and within Louisville.
DISCUSSION:
Attached is a report from BCHA outlining its activities in Louisville over the last year and
the future initiatives to increase the supply of affordable housing in Louisville.
RECOMMENDATION:
This update is for informational purposes only. No action needed.
ATTACHMENTS:
1. BCHA Update Report
2. IGA
COUNCIL COMMUNICATION
2
