In addition to the rates set forth in subsection A and B of <br />this section, each sewer tap shall be assessed one dollar <br />fifty cents per month. Said assessment shall be for the <br />payment of the principal of and interest on bonded indebted- <br />ness. <br /> <br />Section 2. Title 13 of the Louisville Municipal Code is <br />hereby amended by the addition of a new section 13.28.060 to read <br />as follows. <br /> <br />13.28.060 - Discontinuance of service. <br /> <br />A. Any person who desires to permanently discontinue the use of <br />water shall file written notice with the city and pay all <br />current and back charges for water used. <br /> <br />B. Any person who desires to temporarily discontinue sewer use <br />shall file written notice to the city utility billing de- <br />partment and pay all current and back charges for sewer <br />usage. During the time a sewer service is temporarily <br />discontinued there shall be no minimum monthly charge for <br />sewer usage. However, there shall continue to be charged <br />bond retirement and interest payment cost, as per Section <br />13.28.010(B) and 13.28.020(C). When a person wishes to <br />reactivate a temporarily discontinued service they shall <br />file with the city's utility billing department a written <br />notice, and pay all current and back charges for sewer <br />usage. Sewer service discontinuance may only be done in <br />conjunction with discontinuance of water service per section <br />13.12.130. <br /> <br />Section 3. The repeal or modification of any provision of <br />the Municipal code of the City of Louisville by this ordinance <br />shall not release, extinguish, alter, modify, or change in whole <br />or in part any penalty, forfeiture, or liability, either civil or <br />criminal, which shall have been incurred under such provision, <br />and each provision shall be treated and held as still remaining <br />in force for the purpose of sustaining any and all proper ac- <br />tions, suits, proceedings, and prosecutions for the enforcement <br />of the penalty, forfeiture, or liability, as well as for the <br />purpose of sustaining any judgment, decree, or order which can or <br />may be rendered, entered, or made in such actions, suits, pro- <br />ceedings, or prosecutions. <br /> <br />6 <br />
