In addition to the rates set forth in subsection A and B of this section, each sewer tap shall be assessed one dollar fifty cents per month. Said assessment shall be for the payment of the principal of and interest on bonded indebted- ness. Section 2. Title 13 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended by the addition of a new section 13.28.060 to read as follows. 13.28.060 - Discontinuance of service. A. Any person who desires to permanently discontinue the use of water shall file written notice with the city and pay all current and back charges for water used. B. Any person who desires to temporarily discontinue sewer use shall file written notice to the city utility billing de- partment and pay all current and back charges for sewer usage. During the time a sewer service is temporarily discontinued there shall be no minimum monthly charge for sewer usage. However, there shall continue to be charged bond retirement and interest payment cost, as per Section 13.28.010(B) and 13.28.020(C). When a person wishes to reactivate a temporarily discontinued service they shall file with the city's utility billing department a written notice, and pay all current and back charges for sewer usage. Sewer service discontinuance may only be done in conjunction with discontinuance of water service per section 13.12.130. Section 3. The repeal or modification of any provision of the Municipal code of the City of Louisville by this ordinance shall not release, extinguish, alter, modify, or change in whole or in part any penalty, forfeiture, or liability, either civil or criminal, which shall have been incurred under such provision, and each provision shall be treated and held as still remaining in force for the purpose of sustaining any and all proper ac- tions, suits, proceedings, and prosecutions for the enforcement of the penalty, forfeiture, or liability, as well as for the purpose of sustaining any judgment, decree, or order which can or may be rendered, entered, or made in such actions, suits, pro- ceedings, or prosecutions. 6
