<br />~,--, <br /> <br />~01143629 11/20/91 08:54 AM REAL ESTATE RECORDS <br />F1702 CHARLOTTE HOUSTON BOULDER CNTY CO RECORDER <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1052 <br />SERIES 1991 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MODEL TRAFFIC CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is necessary <br />to make certain revisions to the Model Traffic Code for Colorado <br />Municipalities (1977 ed.) as adopted in Chapter 10.04 of the <br />Louisville Municipal Code; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: / <br /> <br />Seotion 1. Section 10.04.020 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is amended by the addition of the following new Subsection I <br />to read: <br /> <br />I. "Seotion 4.1. Basio Rule. (a) No person shall drive a <br />vehicle on a street or highway within this municipality <br />at a speed greater than is prudent under the conditions <br />existing, and in no event greater than fifty-five miles <br />per hour. <br /> <br />(b) Except when a special hazard exists that <br />requires lower speed, and except as otherwise provided <br />herein, the following speeds shall be lawful: <br /> <br />district; <br /> <br />(1) Thirty miles per hour in any business <br /> <br />(2) Twenty-five miles per hour in any <br />residence district; <br /> <br />(3) Thirty miles per hour in any section of <br />roadway within the city limits of the municipality <br />designated by the director of public works as a collector <br />street; and <br /> <br />(4) Any speed not in excess of a posted speed <br />limit as established pursuant to the provisions of <br />section 4-2 or section 4-3." <br /> <br />Seotion 2. Section 10.04.050 of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code is amended to read: <br /> <br />The city engineer DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS of the city is <br />designated as the person authorized to set all speed <br />limits within the city of Louisville which are increased <br />or decreased specifically from those as set forth under <br />section 4.1 of the Model Traffic Code for Colorado <br /> <br />1 <br />
