The goal was to attain 1000 signatures.
New Business;
Movie; An open discussion was presented on the movie "Woodstock" which
would be shown on the 25th anniversary of the original event as the "Movie
in the Park" summer series. Persons who had previewed the movie
answered questions and offered insight. A vote of approval for
"Woodstock" was six in favor and one against. Shannon Hamer will head
the movie presentation and Scot will secure a projectionist.
Audit; Pat Howard announced there are funds available through CCA we
should apply for. LAHC would need to be audited by a CPA to qualify and
present a one page form by a December deadline.
• Building Renovation; Pat mentioned a conversation she had with a Betty
Chronic of the State Historical and Boulder Historical Societies. She was
given some tips on Historical funds that may be available and three to four
names to contact. A discussion followed weighing the pros and cons of
ensuing historical designation. It was decided a commitee be formed to
find out the facts and limitations if any in getting the Arts building.
designated a historical site. The possibility of expansion being limited by
historical designation is an important issue to consider. The role of LAHC
encouraging the City to play a larger role in building renovations was also
discussed.
Annoucements;
It was announced that Carol Meyer and Rosalyn Seglem would attend the
next Newcomers meeting.
Adjournment;
Shannon Hamer made a motion to adjourn the June 16th meeting and Scot
Calder second the motion.
Submitted by
•
Carolyn Meyer y
