Louisville Arts & Humanities Council <br /> Oct . 17 , 1996 <br /> • Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> 801 Grant Ave. Louisville, Co . 666-8331 <br /> 1 . The meeting was called to order at 7 :00 pm <br /> Attendees: Valerie Ohman, Daryl Oshiro, Jeff Edge, <br /> Eric Fridh, Ann Lamb, Heidi Lahr, Julie Caswell and <br /> Sara Godshalk. <br /> 2 . Guest Introductions <br /> Carol Baum attended and expressed interest in <br /> joining L.A.H.C. <br /> 3. Approval of Minutes <br /> Ann moved and Eric Seconded that we approve minutes . <br /> 4. Presidents Update <br /> a. We have recieved the $500 mini grant that we will <br /> use to pay Pat Howard for the Folk Arts Festival . <br /> b. Valerie is setting a meeting with Chris Jean <br /> from L.A.A. to discuss Young Artists Reception <br /> c . Sally Janover has expressed some interest in <br /> filling one of the two Board vacancies . <br /> d. Jeff and Valerie attended the C.0_L.A_ meeting <br /> • where the group shared ideas on many topics , including <br /> non-profit liability insurance. We in L.A.H.C. are covered <br /> by the city of Louisville' s liability insurance. <br /> e. Art Beat recently ran an article on the renovation <br /> of the Memory Square building. <br /> 5 . Reports <br /> a. Treasurer ' s Report <br /> covering Aug. and Sept. the majority is Folk Arts Festival <br /> related, with reimbursments to at Howard. Cash is in <br /> good standing. <br /> b . Building Renovation <br /> We petitioned the City to increase the building renovation <br /> by $17 , 000, and it was approved. Volunteers will be needed <br /> in the spring to do some exterior painting. <br /> 6 . Retreat <br /> An agenda will be set prior to the retreat , Heidi, <br /> Valerie, Sara and Daryl will set the agenda. The retreat <br /> will be held at the LIbrarv. <br /> 7 . Folk Arts Evaluation <br /> Pat Howard will be at our next meeting to discuss <br /> the Folk Arts Festival . Daryl' s class was full, as were <br /> many others , but the weaving and dying class was canceled <br /> due to lack of interest . Valerie enjoyed the' Creative <br /> • Dance class with her son. <br />
