We are building plenty of housing. Lets not fill up
every available piece of open land we have with apartment complexes.
2014 -01 -31 This action would enhance the neighborhood, while development would be a
detriment here.
2014 -01 -31 This parcel of land is valued by focal residents and visitors to Cottonwood park
for the open viewscapes it provides, its undeveloped nature and as a buffer
between the trails and traffic (important for allowing kids a little independence).
Preserving this parcel would enrich our open space system. Allowing it to be
developed would diminish the quality of life for local residents and the quality of
the experience for visitors to cottonwood park.
2014 -01 -31 This space is enjoyed by many and should be preserved or expanded. This
area already has more development than should. This would take away what
little small town we have left. We are paying taxes for open space !
2014 -01 -31 There has been way to much development in the immediate area already. It is
the ideal way to expand the existing park
2014 -01 -31 This area is densely populated and becoming more so with the Steele Ranch
apartments and development at the old Safeway location. Purchasing this
property for open space will help maintain the quality of life that Louisville
residents value and makes Louisville such a wonderful place to live.
Now is the time for the City to act to acquire an option on this property before
another developer does so, and we hear the same excuse that nothing can be
done while there is already contract in effect. There is no question that strong
popular support exists to do so. Not to act at this point by making this a priority
would be inexcusable.
Louisville, CO 2014 -01 -31
louisville, CO 2014 -01 -31 owls, coyote, hawks, deer, falcon and others frequent that pretty spot too
much high density on other side of ditch already. via appia and s. bldr. rd. too
busy /dangerous now, wonderful natural compliment to the park just west.
Louisville, CO 2014 -01 -31 We moved to Colorado (and Louisville specifically) partly because of the
dedication to open space and the park system. We have two small boys who
love the parks in Louisville and I'd hate to see development happen in what
could be open space.
Boulder, CO 2014 -01 -31 Between the condos being constructed in the old Safeway shopping center and
the Steel Ranch apartments, our neighborhood probably already has the
highest population density in the the town of Louisville. We don't need yet
ANOTHER housing development for rich people! What we DO need is more
open space. The Cottonwood Corridor actually serves as a recreation area for
neighborhood residents. Not everybody has the "bucks" to go ski in Aspen or
vacation on the Gulf Coast. Many neighborhood families have parties and
picnics in the park. Our neighborhood is already subject to enough pollution
(both noise and vehicle) merely by virtue of its proximity to South Boulder
Road. Any more development would make our neighborhood almost
uninhabitable.
Denise Smith Louisville, CO
2014 -01 -31 Limit density, expand open space areas when the downtown area has
particular limits to the opportunity for open areas. Protect kids in Cottonwood
Park.
Karhy WarlingSmith Louisville, CO 2014 -01 -31 Lovely space as is. No more building on site preferred.
10
