Name
Cynthia Walser
Laura Pederson
Location Date Comment
Louisville, CO 2014 -02 -01 This would be a great step to preserving a key piece of open space. Plus,
Louisville is allowing way too much high density development. We need
balance!
Louisville, CO 2014 -02 -02 With all the high density housing being build along S. Boulder Rd, it is more
important than ever to preserve whatever open space is left within the city. I
am fully in favor of purchasing the First Baptist Church property to preserve it
as open space.
Peter Watson Boulder, CO
Johanna Renouf Louisville, CO
Casey Newman Louisville, CO
Mary McArthur
Nancy Bigelow
David Smart
Paul Lewis
Michael Perkins
Louisville, CO
Louisville, CO
Louisville, CO
Boulder, CO
Louisville, CO
2014 -02 -02 I visit mu stepson and his family, who border this property. This is a great
resource for kids to play in, dogs and dog owners to recreate in. Lock it up
please, as a community recreational resource.
2014 -02 -02 Louisville will be spoiled if we continue to build more and more houses. We
need to keep open space to preserve nature and to encourage outdoor
recreation.
2014 -02 -02 I'd rather have more open space than more development in town.
2014 -02 -02 The Cottonwood Park area is wonderful for young families. Please expand and
preserve this precious open space.
2014 -02 -03 I live in Louisville and want to preserve as much open space a possible. Open
space makes our community unique and reflects our outdoor character. Once
it's gone, it can't be reversed.
2014 -02 -03 I moved to small -town Louisville and want to keep it that way. There are
already several high - density developments very close to my home in the works
that are going to have a negative impact on city services and traffic in
particular. I fear for the safety of my children because of thoughtless
developments like those proposed on the First Baptist property. High- density
development not only threatens our small -town feel, this particular property is
home to some amazing wildlife.
2014 -02 -03 The area is important wildlife habitat and a buffer for high density housing.
2014 -02 -03 Louisville's charm includes its parks and open space(s), and its small -
town /suburban (not urban) feel. The existing (and approved) high density
housing is enough and already threatens to damage our small -town charm and
character. Louisville needs to ACTIVELY work to preserve its history and its
character.
Don Bachman Louisville, CO 2014 -02 -03 For Louisville to acquire land parcels like this one as they are available for use
as open space or as a city park. It's one of the reasons Louisville is so
attractive as a great place to lives
Paul Casey Louisville, CO 2014 -02 -04 Over eight years ago the idea of acquiring this land for open space was first
put to the Louisville City Council. Since then no fewer than three developers
have proposed building and then walked away. The timing of action by the City
to acquire this land is important: it can only occur when the land is not under
contract by an interested party. Why does the City council and staff continue to
avoid the opportunity to do the right thing and preserve this beautiful land for
the people of Louisville?
aaron clerk Broomfield, CO 2014 -02 -04 Once open spaces are lost they are rarely ever returned to their natural stale.
We must preserve all that we can -
MELINDA GORDON LAFAYETTE, CO 2014 -02 -04 TRAFFIC ISSUES, OVER POPULATED SCHOOLS, OPEN SPACE IS
CRITICAL IN A COMMUNITY. PLEASE BUY THE LAND AS OPEN SPACE
Nicole Garcia Louisville, CO 2014 -02 -04 Louisville streets cannot handle the additional traffic.
12
