was $400, which is 40 meals at $10 each. The food truck limitations prevent the
vendor from selling to anyone not associated with the event. I will report on the
outcome at our meeting, but suffice to say that the "dinner and a movie" concept has
very small margins and LCC may want to offer a higher level of support if the
audience does not reach a pre- determined threshold (our current support is $100 per
event, but we do guarantee $200 per event for our own programming)
• Tentative future events are the movie Muscle Shoals (documentary about an obscure
recording studio in north Alabama that served many of the greats...featuring such
diverse artists as Aretha Franklin, Mick Jagger, Greg Allman and Bono discussing the
unique sound and mystery of the studio on the Tennessee River), summer barbeque
theme in June; the documentary Tim's Vermeer about an eccentric inventor's quest to
understand that craft of a 17th century Dutch master painter. This will likely be a
collaboration with LAA.
Update on Cast 3: report on April 17, 2014 Cast 3 Board Meeting.
