Approval of Minutes —March 11, 2014 Special Meeting, March 18, 2014 and <br />Special Meeting March 18, 2014 <br />MOTION: Mayor Muckle called for changes to the Consent Agenda and hearing none, <br />moved to approve the minutes seconded by Council member Keany. All were in favor. <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />No items to report. <br />No items to report. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />2014 ARBOR DAY PROCLAMATION <br />Mayor Muckle read the proclamation, which proclaimed Thursday, April 17, 2014 as <br />Arbor Day in the City of Louisville. The proclamation urged all citizens to celebrate <br />efforts to care for our trees and woodlands and to support the city's community forestry <br />program. 2014 marks the 34th consecutive year the City of Louisville has been <br />recognized as a Tree City USA. <br />Mayor Muckle presented the proclamation to Horticulture and Forestry Advisory Board <br />Chairperson Mike Frontczak. City Forester Lichty outlined the tree planting activities <br />planned for the Arbor Day Celebration on Thursday, April 17th. The activities will begin <br />at Fireside Elementary, where two fifth grade classes will participate in the planting of <br />four trees on the Fireside Campus (Swamp White Oaks and Honey Locust). Two trees <br />will be planted at 12:15 p.m. and two at 2:30 p.m. <br />Horticulture and Forestry Advisory Board Chairperson Mike Frontczak thanked Mayor <br />Muckle and the City Council for proclaiming April 17th as Arbor Day in Louisville. <br />Mayor Muckle thanked the Horticulture and Forestry Advisory Board and the City staff <br />for maintaining the City's urban forests. City Manager Fleming noted the trees in <br />Louisville outnumber the residents 6 -1. <br />UPDATE - EMERALD ASH BORER PLAN <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />
