She <br />talked about what trails currently exist, what social trails are, and different types of city <br />trails. YAB members were then able to draw recommendations on a map and speak <br />with her one on one to answer any questions. <br />Mayor Muckle then welcomed the board. He spoke about his journey as a council <br />member, board member and mayor of Louisville. He thanked the YAB for their <br />dedication and explained that Louisville is vastly improved by all its volunteer boards - <br />that they do things that city staff simply do not have the time to do. He expressed his <br />appreciation of the board's time. <br />Mayor Muckle talked about the effects from the floods last week, giving an update about <br />the state of the city. "If you see someone driving around in a City Public Works truck, <br />wave and say `Thank you'. They have worked incredibly hard to minimize asset damage <br />and began planning repairs." <br />October 2013: <br />Joi Wu was the sole candidate for chairperson and won in her re- election bid for the <br />2013 -2014 Y.A.B. Eliza Miller was elected vice - chair. David Andrews was elected <br />Secretary. Congratulations to our 2013 -2014 YAB Officers! <br />Discussions began concerning what projects to focus on for the new term: Dear <br />Louisville and bike safety. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />2 <br />
