<br />Resolution <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />, Series 1991 <br /> <br />ADOPT-A-LOUISVILLE STREET <br />LITTER CONTROL PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the need and desirabil- <br />ity for litter free City streets in Louisville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, civic minded volunteer organizations want to con- <br />tribute towards the effort of maintaining litter free streets; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, donated hours of volunteer labor to remove litter <br />from City streets would be a benefit to all residents of the <br />City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, citizens of the City have expressed an interest in <br />the donation of labor to provide litter free City streets; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has the resources available to provide the <br />necessary safety and litter collection devices to volunteer <br />organizations, as well as resources to provide disposal of the <br />recyclable and non-recyclable materials collected. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT: <br /> <br />1. The City Council adopts the "Adopt-A-Louisville Street <br />Litter Control Program". <br /> <br />2. The City provide the necessary signage needed for the <br />streets and trash bags to organizations who agree to participate <br />in this program. <br /> <br />3.
